Currently I am in the mood to make costume pieces that are also suitable for everyday wear. So I came up with a pattern for a fully functional sports bra, that you can customize to your needs and taste. Mine ist inspired by an artwork of Harley Quinn as a roller derby girl. It’s by Babs Tarr and damn, I love her style! ❤

Today I have another tutorial for you, but this is set up a little different. I condenced my write-up to a bare minimum and just give you a lot of pictures and short explainations.
I was told that Harley Quinn is the most popular female comic book character these days and if you’ve ever been to a comic convention you are very well aware of that. Harley cosplayers are everywhere and that’s f*cking fantastic in my opinion! To be honest I avoided making one of her outfits for the longest time now, just because I wasn’t sure if I could be a convincing Harley but hey, I cosplay as so many different characters I am not even sure if I ever was or will be a convincing anything! In the last few months I created 3 of Harley’s costumes from scratch, but the one true original is still missing in my collection.
So here you have it, a step by step tutorial for a classic Harley Quinn jester costume, divided into 4 parts: Bodysuit, collar and gloves with cuffs, mask and cowl, boot covers. Naturally I’ll start with the most time consuming part but I promise we’ll get through this together… eventually.
